1. What is the most popular color to paint the cabinets?
Most people are looking to lighten their kitchens up so they pick a white or an off white. However lately we have had a lot of customers looking for the Tuscany look so they are painting in dark brown, black and deep reds.

2. How toxic is the paint, will we have to move out while you are painting?
The paint is very non invasive and meets California requirements for low VOC, so the paint is totally non harmfull. (You may be able to get a meal out if you wish.)

3. Do we have to empty all of our cabinets and drawers to paint?
No. We only paint the inside lip of the cabinet frames so as long as every thing is pushed back and inch or so we can paint. You may want to cover the dishes with dish towels so that we don't splatter on them or get sanding dust on them.

4. How long does it take to complete a job.
Most jobs are completed in 5 workdays. We pick up on a Monday or Tuesday and return them the following Monday or Tuesday. During that week we need access to the house so we can paint the frames. With large jobs we may take a couple of extra days to complete, however we always let you know up front.

5. Can you cut the doors and install glass in them?
Yes we can usually install glass in the doors. We have to look at the door and check the inetrity of it prior to completing.

6. Can you install European (Hidden) hinges on the doors?
Usually, again we have to check the integrity of the door before committing to it.

7. What about chipping on the completed cabinets?
The paint will chip if you abuse or misuse it. However it takes quite a bit to chip it, And since we do guarantee the color not to fade or discolor you can always use the can of touchup paint we leave with you. And they won't look touched up or discolored.

8. Can you replace the hinges and add new hardware to the doors?
We have a variety of hinge colors to chose from to match the knobs or handles you pick. We can drill the doors and drawers for knobs or handles and install them when we hang the doors. You have to select and buy the knobs or handles due to the fact that there are so many to chose from, we couldn't possibly afford to inventory them.

9. Can you paint the interior of the cabinets also?
We can however, I normally recommend that the homeowner complete tha job. If I do it, it is extremely time consuming and labor intensive and costly. You expect perfection from me, and we want to be a as perfect as possible with our work.

10. What is the difference between painting and resurfacing my cabinets?
First and foremost is the cost. Painting will run 20-25% of the cost of re-facing cabinets. Frankly if you are going to reface, you may as well replace the cabinets. The cost is not that different in the long run. Painting gives you the same results, in most cases better results than re-facing at a greatly reduced cost.

11. Will the cabinets stain after painted?
Generally not. After 7 years and 100's of completed jobs, I have yet to have a call back due to staining ot the surface. We have tried several different staining properties and can't find on that will stain. I am sure there is something out there that will but so far so good.
